Lectors and Commentators
Lectors proclaim the Word of God in the First and Second Readings of the Mass. Commentator read the announcements before the liturgy opens and offer the Prayer of the Faithful. Schedules are arranged to fit their desired Mass, as well as the need to fill all time slots. Future lectors are asked to try out. Continued inspiration is given through a yearly Evening of Recollection and an excellent Workbook for Lectors, which suggests ways of approaching the readings.
