Liturgy of the Word with Children

Liturgy of the Word with Children is a ministry in which children ages 4 and over are brought together in the Parish Hall for the celebration of God’s Word. Following the Gospel reading, the children listen to an explanation, participate in song, and have an opportunity to ask any questions they may have. The children enjoy partaking in a small hands-on craft relating to the message they have learned. They join together again with the congregation in church at the offertory. The older children of the parish have also enjoyed the opportunity to participate in this program by performing a skit, helping with crafts, or sitting among the younger children.
