Where All God’s Children Come Together

Dear Holy Spirit School Parish/School Community,

Thank you to everyone who attended the HSS Pep Rally on Friday, October 7th I know I had a wonderful time. The spirit of community that our school promotes is truly inspiring. As I like to highlight some of the activities the great HSS teachers and students are doing in our classrooms, here are blurbs from two HSS teachers.

Mrs. Patty Antunes (PreK teacher) reports: PreK students will work on creating a haunted house. They will paint it, design it, decide where the windows should go, how many, the door, its color, etc...everything about it.

A small box will be used as the base for the house. I think it's a great class project that brings in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) at the PreK level.

Mrs. Holroyd (2nd grade teacher) reports: The second graders have jump started their vocabulary skills by learning words with multiple meanings. Daily fish are added to their “Best School in Town” mural. As children recognize new “M&M” words, fish are added to their hallway pond. I wonder who will add the next fish?

On Monday, October 31st, dismissal is at 12:30 p.m. Halloween parties begin at 10 a.m., the Halloween Parade is at 12 noon and Trunk or Treat is from 1 to 2 p.m. and aftercare is open. However, if you want your child to participate in the Trunk or Treat your  child  must  be  accompanied  by  a  parent/guardian.

Teachers at Holy Spirit School make learning and growing in the faith come alive for the students we serve on a day to day basis. I am proud to work with such an amazing staff of professionals.

Armand Lamberti, Principal
